Who owns Pennybyrn
at Maryfield?
Pennybyrn at Maryfield is owned by Maryfield, Inc. which was founded
in 1947 by a Catholic Congregation of Sisters from Ireland and England
known as the Poor Servants of the Mother of God. The Sisters began
operating Maryfield, a 22-bed nursing home, in 1947 which has now
been expanded into a spectacular continuing care retirement community.
In 2003, Maryfield Inc. retained CRSA (Cooperative Retirement Services
of America) to assist in the further development of Pennybyrn at
Maryfield.

apartments and cottages are available and how much do they cost?
There are multiple styles of apartments and cottages available, ranging from 770 to 1,710 square feet. Entrance fees start at $115,400 and Monthly Service Fees start at $1,890.

What types
of service and care are provided at Pennybyrn at Maryfield?
To accommodate changing needs, three levels of service are offered;
independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care which
includes memory support.
Independent Living is designed for retirees who wish to continue
their active, independent lifestyle. A variety of services and amenities
are offered. Services include housekeeping, maintenance, dining
options and an enriching social calendar.
Assisted Living is available for residents who need help with some
activities of daily living. Staff members are available to assist
with these activities.
Skilled Nursing Care and Memory Support are levels of professional
health care which must be prescribed by the resident’s personal
physician.

What type of
fees do residents pay?
Residents pay a one-time Entrance Fee, as well as a Monthly Service
Fee. The Entrance Fee is based upon residence selection and refundable
Entry Fee plan options. The Monthly Service Fee is based on residence
selection and the number of residents. The Entrance Fee provides
you with a commitment from Pennybyrn at Maryfield for priority access
to all levels of care and service provided on the campus. Your Entrance
Fee also entitles you to 15 “grace-days” in the health
center, should you ever need it.

Do I get any of the Entrance
Fee back?
Yes you can! Pennybyrn at Maryfield offers financial options which
offer a refund to you or your estate, up to 90% of your initial
investment.

Do I
have to pay for everything now?
Absolutely not. A 10% deposit is all that is required to secure
your new home and lifestyle at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. The balance
of your entrance fee is not due until your residence is available
for occupancy and you get the keys to your new home!

Pennybyrn at Maryfield has been scheduled to open on December 10,
2007.

What happens
if I run out of money?
As part of the application process, we will ask for certain basic
financial information to ensure that residents of the community
have the resources to pay for ongoing service. This is to protect
you and the community. Once financially approved, you are assured
of lifetime residency, including any needed service that Pennybyrn
at Maryfield provides.
