Spiritual Diversity
For residents of all faiths, we offer enhanced spirituality through
immersion in the Pennybyrn at Maryfield lifestyle, as well as interdenominational
services and events. In addition, we have frequent visits from area
clergy, offer spiritual retreats, reflection days, daily celebration
of the Eucharist, an on-site Perpetual Adoration Chapel and, last
but not least, the sense of comfort and security within a community
of friends that soon become family.

A Proud
Heritage and Strong Leadership
Pennybyrn at Maryfield is the culmination of six decades of rich
history, quality service and excellent reputation. The governing
organization, Maryfield, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation founded
by the Sisters of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God.
The Sisters dreamed of coming to America, partly inspired by the
support and kindness shown to them by the American soldiers in Europe
during World War II. The Sisters began operating Maryfield, a 22-bed
nursing home in 1947, which has now been nourished into a spectacular
continuing care retirement community.
Maryfield has long been known in the Triad as the premier provider
of excellent long-term nursing care. The Sisters’
mission of providing compassionate, heartfelt and professional nursing
care has expanded over the decades and is growing even more today
to include a large, continuing care retirement community.
Because of the new project – our continuing care retirement
community – the decision was made to rename the entire campus
Pennybyrn at Maryfield to better reflect the combination of lifestyle
choices that will be offered.
Pennybyrn at Maryfield has a strong, experienced management team
committed to serving each person who is part of the community. Assisting
Pennybyrn at Maryfield with the development and operational transition
of this project is CRSA Management, LLC - Cooperative Retirement Services of America –
a national leader in marketing and development of senior living
communities.
CRSA, which has been in business since 1989, has 37 clients in 19
states, totaling 8,193 senior housing residents. CRSA brings to
Pennybyrn at Maryfield a sound fiscal track record with $750 million
currently in senior living developments and an average occupancy
rate of 95 % in these facilities.
