| Pennybyrn
at Maryfield – Human Resources
Pennybyrn at Maryfield is in the midst of the most exciting time
since we first began our mission of caring for people in 1947.
These changes are expanding Pennybyrn at Maryfield to include new
lifestyle options and a different approach to the delivery of nursing
care. This common-sense approach to living and caring for residents
creates a continuum of care community where residents are empowered
to make choices about how they live their lives, where they are:
- Respected.
- Have opportunities to learn and grow.
- In control of their pursuit of happiness.
- Able to achieve goals, pleasures and satisfaction in daily
life.
- Genuinely involved and able to contribute.
Being part of the team at Pennybyrn at Maryfield’s caregivers
will mean that you, too, are part of this vibrant community. Together
we plan for daily life, genuinely engaging staff and residents so
as to weave together a fulfilled community.
Responsibilities of our staff are blended so that creative roles
emerge. Life is fashioned into small groups. Consequently, involvement
in the lives of the residents is significantly enhanced.
I invite you to join our team of dedicated, loving, empowered staff.
Feel the difference of working in a learning-teaching organization
where you will be invested in and encouraged to always grow yourself.
Come see how welcoming residents “home” is unlike anything
you have seen in traditional health care.
Make a difference!

Pennybyrn at Maryfield
- Employment Opportunities
To better help prospective employees understand our services, picture
Pennybyrn at Maryfield’s campus as one large community with
three lifestyle choices.
The Independent Living Neighborhood
In this neighborhood, residents largely remain independent and
are able to be active members of our thriving community. They
enjoy fine dining and many other services and amenities. Consequently,
employment opportunities here are in the service fields such as:
The Assisted Living Neighborhood
Here, our employees assist residents to live as independently
as possible in a homelike environment, all the while receiving
the assistance they need. In the Assisted Living Household, residents
may need help with activities such as preparing meals, bathing,
dressing, moving from place to place or taking medications, so
employment opportunities include:
Medical Technicians
Universal Workers that are Certified Nursing Assistants
The Maryfield Health Care Households Neighborhood
Our skilled nursing services have been transformed into six cozy
households where residents, staff, families and volunteers share
attitudes, values, goals and practices. These households, where
residents receive 24-hour skilled nursing care, are staffed by
familiar caregivers who are there to help residents as they live
lives of meaning, worth and happiness.
Our six Maryfield Health Care Households provide the best personal, health and medical services any resident, however frail, will need. Each household is independent of the others, and each household has its own kitchen, living room, parlor, spa, laundry, sunroom and dining room, where staff and residents prepare and eat meals together and carry out daily chores together.
Each day is informal like a day in our own homes. The result?
A truly rewarding and satisfying daily life for elders and staff
alike.
It’s not home-like. It is home.
Job opportunities here include:
Registered Nurses
LPN
Certified Nursing Assistants
Medical Technicians
Homemakers (a blended role that includes dining and housekeeping
responsibilities)
Administrative Jobs
Pennybyrn at Maryfield has a number of administrative job opportunities,
most of which are physically located in the Independent Living
Neighborhood although they service the entire community.
